Increasing energy awareness and improving energy efficiency in our schools and colleges
The Program for Resource Efficiency in Private Schools (PREPS), is an energy efficiency program administered by Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) and offers private Pre-K, K-12, colleges, universities, trade/technical schools and other private institutions of learning a variety of services and incentives designed to improve the energy performance of school facilities.
Energy efficiency is a critical element in reducing operating costs and implementing sustainable practices in school and campus facilities. The goal of PREPS is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help create a cleaner, safer, more efficient learning environment.
-
Professional consultants provide assistance to desicion-makers in determining the best natural gas efficiency measures to implement. Through a systematic project evaluation approach, the PREPS team identifies opportunities that help provide the greatest benefit and meet the school’s operational needs.
